A word clock is a clock that tells the time using English words. In late 2009, I published my original Word Clock project on Instructables.com, and since then, I have been surprised by the number of people asking whether I can help them make their own clocks.
My clocks are hand made, from my own design. My desire is to help
people make their own clocks, so I have simplified the design and optimised the
PCB layouts to make them easier to construct.
I am now very pleased to be
able to say - YES! I am more than happy to provide whatever components or
modules you would like to construct your own clock.
My focus is on helping you create your own Word Clock, but if you are
not able to solder components, I am very happy to provide complete clock modules
that just need to be mounted your own craftwood enclosure, and you can have
your own personally customised clock.
The Word Clock is fun to make, whether you are making your own from scratch, building a kit, or making an enclosure for one of my complete clocks.
And - finally, there is one thing that is for certain, is a focal point of any room.
One of my clock modules, mounted in a 300mm x 300mm craftwood frame on our dining room wall.

Megans original clock sitting on her desk at work, mounted on a simple peice of raw pine    I love the way that the copper tarnishes over time.    It will be great to see this clock face in 5 years!

My second prototype clock module on my desk at work, I chose to mount this on a fiberglass stand.    Overall size 150mm x 150mm.
